This WG has focused on developing the conformance and interoperability test specifications to be used for IPv6 appliances. The WG has been heavily involved in the IPv6 Ready Logo Program since its outset and has been one of the main forces of the Program, by providing test specification and evaluating Logo Program applicants.

The tests for IPv6 core protocols and related basic functions are stable now, therefore the WG is focusing on the extended functions, such as MLDv6 or 6LowPan. A portion of the testing has been delegated to the Japan Approvals Institute for Telecommunications Equipment (JATE ) .
